Naturally corrected, individually tailored—safe treatment of congenital breast anomalies with experience and sensitivity.

Congenital breast abnormalities, such as tubular breasts, breast asymmetry, or inverted nipples, can significantly affect young women’s self-confidence. At Dr. Limbourg’s practice in Hanover, we offer customized surgical solutions to restore the shape, symmetry, and function of your breasts—for a harmonious and natural appearance.

Not every breast shape is naturally symmetrical. While slight differences in size and shape are completely normal, we refer to a breast deformity when the shape or structure deviates significantly—with functional or psychological consequences.

Customized Correction for Harmonious Shapes
Tubular breasts require a precise surgical technique. We combine methods such as breast lift with autologous fat grafting or use hybrid procedures (augmentation mastopexy with implants or autologous fat) to widen the breast base and create a natural shape.
Functional and Aesthetic Improvement
During inverted nipple correction, we release the shortened milk ducts and reshape the nipple. The cost of inverted nipple surgery varies depending on the severity of the condition and the technique used.
Restoring Symmetry
To correct breast asymmetry, we individually adjust the size and shape of the breasts—whether through augmentation, reduction, or a lift—to achieve a harmonious overall appearance.
Congenital breast malformations manifest in various forms and degrees of severity. Among the most common are:
At our practice, we develop personalized treatment plans that take both functional and aesthetic aspects into account. The goal is to achieve a symmetrical and natural-looking breast contour that complements your body and meets your expectations.
Tubular Breast – Precise Surgery for Harmonious Proportions
In cases of tubular breast, also known as a tube-shaped breast, we distinguish four types based on severity and tissue distribution:
Type I: Absence of the lower inner quadrant of the breast
Type II: Absence of both lower quadrants, but with excess skin
Type III: In addition to Type II, insufficient skin and a shortened breast bridge
Type IV: Severe form with a missing breast base – “tubular breast”
For correction, we use, for example, augmentation mastopexy (enlargement + lift), implants, or autologous fat.
Inverted Nipples – Aesthetic & Functional Correction
For inverted nipples, we correct the shortened milk ducts using microsurgery and reconstruct the protrusion. The cost of inverted nipple surgery varies depending on the technique and severity. In cases of functional limitations, we check whether health insurance will cover the costs.
Breast asymmetry & unilateral hypoplasia
Through augmentation, reduction, lift, or nipple adjustment, we individually tailor the shape and volume—for the most symmetrical, natural appearance possible.
Consultation, Examination, and Planning
During a detailed consultation, we will assess your individual situation. Following a thorough examination, we will discuss the available treatment options.
