Naturally full lips – gentle lip fillers with hyaluronic acid for a more expressive and fresh look.
Our lips are a means of expression—whether we’re smiling, talking, or saying nothing at all. That’s exactly why it’s particularly important in lip treatments to consider not only volume, but also harmony, symmetry, and a natural look. At our practice in Hanover, we offer highly professional lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid, focusing on your individual anatomy and your specific wishes.

Full, well-shaped lips enhance the face—they lend a fresh, expressive, and sensual appearance. However, the volume, shape, or symmetry of the lips do not always meet one’s expectations. As part of the natural aging process, the lip tissue also loses its elasticity and fullness.
At Dr. Limbourg’s practice in Hanover, we primarily use hyaluronic acid for lip augmentation—a natural substance that is also found in the human body. It is particularly well-tolerated, safe, and ideally suited for increasing lip volume or shaping the lip contour—all in accordance with the principle: as little as possible, as much as necessary.

Subtle lip augmentation with textured hyaluronic acid—for added volume, defined lip contours, and a youthful shape.
Fine-tuning the lip line (vermilion border), accentuating the Cupid’s bow, or correcting minor asymmetries—for lips that look naturally enhanced.
Small perioral wrinkles (“smoker’s lines”) can also be gently smoothed out with hyaluronic acid—for a well-groomed area around the lips.
If you are looking for particularly long-lasting results, we also offer lip augmentation using your own fat—in combination with other facial treatments.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of human connective tissue. It has the ability to bind large amounts of water, thereby providing moisture, volume, and elasticity. Today, industrially produced hyaluronic acid is so highly purified that it can be used without prior allergy testing. This makes it the safest substance for lip injections—especially when compared to older or permanent fillers.
In our practice, we use only the highest-quality, specially formulated lip fillers with optimal consistency to ensure a natural lip feel and a harmonious result.
The effects of hyaluronic acid in the lips typically last between 6 and 12 months—depending on factors such as metabolism, lifestyle, lip movement, and the choice of product.
Regular touch-ups are easily possible—and in many patients, they are even recommended, as the filler often settles more stably with repeated use and its longevity increases over time.
Autologous fat transfer (lipofilling) using a fine fat emulsion known as nanofat offers a particularly natural and long-lasting alternative to hyaluronic acid. In this procedure, the patient’s own fat tissue (e.g., from the abdomen or inner thighs) is processed and injected into the lips.
If the transplanted fat heals well, it usually remains permanently and also improves tissue quality. Repeat procedures are also possible here—for example, to enhance the effect or to combine with other aesthetic procedures.
