Whether it’s about shape or function, a precise rhinoplasty can enhance your profile and improve your breathing.

At our practice in Hanover, we offer both cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty procedures. Whether you desire a more harmonious nose shape or suffer from breathing difficulties—we will work with you to assess your current situation and develop a personalized treatment plan. We rely on modern surgical techniques and comprehensive post-operative care to achieve optimal results.

For many patients, deciding to undergo rhinoplasty is a major step—not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for functional ones. Whether you have a humped nose, a crooked nose, or another anatomical issue: At Dr. Limbourg’s practice in Hanover, we perform aesthetically and medically complex nose surgeries (rhinoplasty) with extensive experience and state-of-the-art technology.
We always tailor our approach to your individual wishes and anatomical conditions. Using a 3D simulation (Crisalix®), we can create a realistic image of the new nose shape even before the procedure—an important factor in the decision-making process for many of our patients.

Correction of humped noses, wide noses, or asymmetrical nostrils to achieve a harmonious overall appearance.
Treatment of breathing difficulties through straightening the nasal septum or reducing the size of the turbinates.
Revision of previous surgeries in cases of unsatisfactory results or functional problems.
Non-surgical correction of minor irregularities using hyaluronic acid fillers.
A bump on the bridge of the nose, usually visible from the side, is often caused by excessive bone or cartilage growth during puberty or following an injury. During surgery, the bump is smoothed out by removing the excess tissue, and the bridge of the nose is reshaped (rhinosculpting).
A crooked nose is characterized by a lateral deviation of the nasal bridge, often resulting from injury or the natural growth process. Correction usually requires straightening the nasal septum and reshaping the cartilaginous tip of the nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used if necessary.
A saddle nose is a sunken nasal bridge, often caused by trauma or disease. Reconstruction is performed using the patient’s own cartilage or bone—for example, from the ear or a rib—to restore the nose’s structural integrity and shape.
In this case, the cartilage at the tip of the nose is disproportionately large. By reducing and sculpting it with fine threads, a well-defined, slimmer nasal tip can be created.
A typical feature is the hook-like curvature with a prominently protruding bridge of the nose. The surgery is similar to the correction of a hump nose, but also involves reshaping the tip of the nose.
In cases of a drooping nose tip, the tip is often pulled downward and appears wider. This is usually caused by a weak septal framework. By building a stable framework and reshaping the tip, a natural shape can be restored.
Even though the focus is primarily on the tip, a standalone correction is rarely sufficient. Often, the bridge of the nose must also be adjusted to achieve a harmonious overall appearance. We use state-of-the-art 3D technology to simulate your desired shape.
Before the Surgery
During a detailed consultation, we will discuss your wishes and expectations. Using a 3D simulation, we can visualize the potential outcome and work with you to plan the best course of action.
The Surgery
Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 1–2 hours. Depending on the findings, various techniques are used to achieve the desired shape and function.
After the Surgery
After the procedure, a plaster bandage and, if necessary, a nasal splint (Light Cast) will be applied, which is removed after about a week. Swelling and bruising usually subside within 1–2 weeks. However, complete healing and the final result may take several months.
