Gently rejuvenated and redefined—achieve an alert, expressive gaze with an eyelid lift.
We perform eyelid lifts every day at our practice—always striving for a harmonious, natural-looking result that suits each patient’s individual features. Upper eyelid lift surgery (upper blepharoplasty) is suitable for drooping eyelids or excess skin in the upper eyelid area, which can result from genetic predisposition or skin aging, for example. Lower eyelid lift surgery is used to treat bags under the eyes, sagging tissue, or visible wrinkles in the lower eyelid area.
Depending on the findings, the procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia or under twilight sedation—with a very short recovery time.

Our eyes are the key to nonverbal communication. They reveal our emotions and reflect our vitality, freshness, and character. But over time, the appearance of the eye area changes: drooping eyelids, under-eye bags, wrinkles, or excess skin can make your eyes look tired or older—even if you still feel full of energy on the inside.
A professional eyelid lift—medically known as blepharoplasty—offers a highly effective way to gently correct this condition. The procedure is one of the most common in aesthetic surgery and, when performed by an experienced surgeon, can be carried out safely, efficiently, and with minimal strain on the body.

Drooping upper eyelids are often genetic, but can also result from skin aging. By precisely removing excess skin from the eyelid—and fat tissue if necessary—the eyelid is tightened, making the eye appear more open and clear.
Bags under the eyes or excess skin on the lower eyelid can make the face look tired. During lower eyelid surgery, excess tissue is removed or repositioned through an inconspicuous incision made just below the lash line or on the inner side of the eyelid.
Dark circles under the eyes make you look tired. Injecting nano-fat (sometimes in combination with a lower eyelid lift) rejuvenates and balances the tissue
For a completely refreshed appearance, a combined upper and lower eyelid lift may be a good option—tailored to your specific needs and facial features.
Even a minor procedure can often have a significant impact. At Dr. Limbourg’s practice, we provide open and honest advice, drawing on over 20 years of experience, to help you determine which eyelid lift method in Hanover is right for you.
Upper Eyelid Lift (Upper Blepharoplasty)
During upper eyelid surgery, excess skin is removed from the natural crease of the eyelid. Additionally, a small fat pad above the eye may be reduced. The incision is barely visible and is secured with fine miniature bandages. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia or twilight sedation.
Lower Eyelid Lift (Lower Blepharoplasty)
Here, the sagging tissue is tightened via an incision just below the lash line, excess skin is removed, and fat deposits are redistributed. This results in a smoother, more youthful-looking lower eyelid. The incision is inconspicuous and is closed with fine, subcutaneous sutures.
Transconjunctival Blepharoplasty
In certain cases—for example, when only fat but no skin needs to be removed—the eyelid correction is performed from the inside via the conjunctiva. This method is scar-free and particularly gentle.
Nano-fat Transfer for Dark Circles under the Eyes
Dark circles under the eyes can be significantly improved (also in combination with lower eyelid lift), rejuvenating and refreshing the tissue.
