A flat stomach and renewed self-confidence—effective tummy tuck surgery after weight loss or pregnancy.
Whether following pregnancy, significant weight loss, or age-related changes—we assess your individual situation and develop a customized treatment plan. Our specialized surgeons use state-of-the-art techniques to remove excess skin and fat tissue and tighten the abdominal wall. In doing so, we place particular emphasis on achieving a natural body contour and ensuring that scarring is as inconspicuous as possible.

Excess skin, sagging tissue, or even a so-called “belly apron”—for many of our patients, this is not just a cosmetic issue, but a tremendous psychological and physical burden. After pregnancy, significant weight loss, or age-related tissue sagging, the abdominal wall loses its natural firmness. Even with consistent exercise and a healthy diet, the silhouette and skin appearance often cannot be sufficiently improved.
A tummy tuck in Hanover can make a decisive difference here—and achieve far more than just a smoother appearance: self-esteem, freedom of movement, and body confidence often improve significantly.

If…
… then an abdominoplasty can be a very sensible solution, both medically and aesthetically. At our practice in Hanover, this procedure is one of the most frequently performed body contouring surgeries.
Before the surgery, we conduct a detailed consultation during which we discuss your wishes and expectations and perform a thorough examination. We will explain the surgical procedure, potential risks, and the expected results.
The surgery itself is performed under general anesthesia and typically lasts 2 to 3 hours. Depending on the extent of the procedure, we remove excess skin and fatty tissue, tighten the abdominal muscles, and naturally reinforce your abdominal wall using your own tissue. The navel is repositioned using the “mini-scar” technique to ensure a natural appearance.
After the surgery, you will stay in our clinic for 2 to 3 days to ensure optimal care and monitoring. A special compression garment supports the healing process and should be worn for about 4 to 6 weeks. Full recovery may take several weeks, with swelling and bruising subsiding within the first 2 to 4 weeks.
Surgical tightening of the abdominal wall is usually performed through an incision in the lower abdomen, which is later concealed in the bikini line. During the procedure, the abdominal skin is mobilized and pulled downward, excess tissue is removed, and—if necessary—the abdominal muscles are tightened (fascia reinforcement) and, if required, the abdominal wall is naturally strengthened. The navel is also repositioned, with minimal scarring whenever possible.
Depending on the findings, we combine the surgery with liposuction (e.g., on the upper abdomen, flanks, hips, or pubic mound) to further harmonize the body contour.
In less severe cases, a mini-abdominoplasty in the lower abdomen is sufficient. In cases of significant excess skin, an extended body lift may be advisable.
